Residents in central Taiwan are in for a treat. The Taiyuan Marriott Hotel Taichung, which opened this March and is highlighted as “the first international five-star hotel in central Taiwan,” will host the “Michelin Ultimate Feast” from October 23 to 26 on the 24th floor at “The Prime-Grill Steakhouse.” Italian two-Michelin-star chef Moreno Cedroni will be making a special appearance in Taiwan. During the four-day event, there will be a limit of 50 guests per evening, totaling 200 spots across all sessions. The cost is NT$10,800 plus 10% service charge per person (including wine), where diners can enjoy Michelin-level seafood dishes prepared with local Taiwanese ingredients, paired with fine wines from the “estate favored by the royal family of the Roman Empire,” offering a unique fusion of Taiwanese produce and Italian wines.

Kuo Kuang-lung, Deputy Director of F&B at Taiyuan Marriott Hotel Taichung, said that the invited Italian two-Michelin-star chef “Moreno Cedroni” is renowned for his seafood dishes and creative presentation. The Michelin tasting menu will be paired with wines from the Conti Di Buscareto estate, known as the “estate favored by the royal family of the Roman Empire,” offering guests an exquisite culinary experience that perfectly showcases the legend of Michelin cuisine.
Born in 1964 in Ancona, central Italy, Moreno has cooked for notable figures including Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi, and famous Italian singers Luciano Ligabue and Jovanotti. Since 2000, he has established four internationally acclaimed restaurants and bars in central Italian cities, earning recognition from Espresso Guide and The Wall Street Journal. He is known for reinterpreting Japanese sashimi with innovative Italian techniques, dedicated to bringing new flavors and characteristics to traditional fresh fish dishes.
On this visit to Taiwan, Moreno aims to captivate local food lovers with Taiwanese ingredients and his signature seafood dishes. The planned menu will feature fresh seafood such as tuna, sea bass, small lobsters, shrimp, clams, cod, and squid, prepared using grilling, stewing, and sashimi slicing techniques. Combining traditional and innovative cooking styles, the dishes will deliver the most direct and authentic taste of the ocean.
In addition, the Taiyuan Marriott Hotel Taichung is also offering a “Taste of Michelin Chef: Encounter Michelin in Taichung” hotel package that includes one night’s accommodation with two meals, priced at just NT$17,000 per night. This includes one night in a “City Suite” valued at NT$25,000, a luxurious buffet breakfast, and one serving of the “Michelin Ultimate Feast” menu per person.
