The 2013 Taipei Food Expo will be held on September 14-15 at the Taipei Expo Park's Yuanshan Flower Expo Dome, with over 150 Taipei-based catering businesses participating. The exhibition features seven major themed zones: "Chinese Cuisine," "Night Market Snacks," "Authentic Delicacies," "Sweet Happiness," "Thai Flavors," "International Flavors," and "Delicious Sauces." On-site, visitors can enjoy food discounts of up to 50% off, plus early-bird deals and photo check-in rewards. The first 100 attendees will receive a Mid-Autumn gift box, and everyone can check in to win one of 3,000 free food items.

Among the seven zones at the Taipei Food Expo, the "Night Market Snacks" section brings together famous night markets from Taipei, including Linjiang Street, Shilin, Guangzhou Street, Nangang, Raohe, and Ningxia. Visitors can sample popular night market treats like oyster omelets, squid thick soup, takoyaki, and salt-and-pepper chicken in one place. The renowned "Thousand-Year Banquet" from Ningxia Night Market is also offering a special limited reservation discount at the expo—originally priced at NT$3,000, now NT$2,500.

 

With Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, visitors can also shop for gifts during the last golden weekend before the holiday. Many pastry vendors are offering affordable Mid-Autumn gift options, such as the earthy pineapple cakes from "The 8th Mouthful" and macaron gift boxes from "Smiling Queen," both available on-site at 20% off their original prices.

 

Additionally, the food expo this year offers a triple bonus: First, the "Early-Bird Discount"—the first 100 attendees on September 14-15 will receive either a Mid-Autumn gift box or a healthy vegetarian breakfast. Second, the "Check-In for Food" promotion—visitors who take photos at the expo and share them on Facebook can enter to win one of 3,000 free food items. Third, the "Spend & Win" draw—spend NT$100 or more during the event to earn one point, and collect three points for a chance to win dining vouchers from restaurants like Din Tai Fung 101, offering both gourmet meals and scenic views, with a total value exceeding NT$200,000.
