The 2013 New Taipei City Joyful Christmas Town will officially open on November 22 of the 102nd year of the Republic of China (2013), kicking off 45 days of exciting Christmas activities with the lighting of the tallest Christmas tree in the nation. On the final day before the lighting, the New Taipei City Government specially invited seven Christmas beauties to gather in front of the city’s Christmas tree, welcoming everyone with their sweetest smiles to experience the most unique Christmas atmosphere in Taiwan at the Civic Plaza.

The members of the Christmas beauties group each have their own unique charm—there's a top student from UCLA, a bubbly dance major, and a well-known MV actress. They are Tingting (Zheng Yuting), who was once a member of the Elephant Splash cheer squad, T?? Duan T?? nicknamed “Little Alicia,” Xiao Han (Zhuang Shuhan) from Shenma Haoshiguang, CANDY (Lin Mengjie) from I Love Blackie, Pure Pure (Liu Chunyi) and Olivia (Tan Yixin) also from Shenma Haoshiguang, and Mu Mu (Guo Muron) known as the Fu Jen campus beauty. Each one is a highly popular campus beauty. Starting today, these campus beauties will hold countdown signs for the New Taipei Joyful Christmas Town between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM daily, traveling from Taipei Main Station on the Taipei Metro to Taipei City Hall Station, Tamsui Station, and Xindian Station to spread the message that the opening is just around the corner.

The “2013 New Taipei City Joyful Christmas Town” event will run from November 22, 2013, to January 5, 2014. The lighting show on November 22 will begin at 6:30 PM, and from November 23 onward, it will take place every hour and half-hour from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The Civic Plaza and surrounding areas of the city hall will be transformed into a beautiful sea of lights, complemented by colorful and playful designs, offering the public a beautiful and romantic Christmas celebration.
Additionally, the much-anticipated “2013 Limited Edition Christmas Bears” will be given away starting on the opening day of the lighting ceremony on November 22. Current activities include: First, the “Love & X’mas Tree” event: from November 22 to December 25, 30 pairs of 4T Christmas bears will be given away daily in limited quantities; Second, the “Popular X’mas Card—Share Your Check-in and Get a Limited Edition Commemorative Bear” event: from November 25 to January 5 of the following year, Monday through Friday, 120 4T bears will be given away daily until supplies run out.
