Christmas in Tainan: Main Christmas Tree at Taiwan Literature Museum Lit to Welcome Visitors

As Christmas approaches, Tainan’s annual Christmas light displays have consistently received high praise. Among them, the main Christmas tree standing in front of the Taiwan Literature Museum—paired with the museum’s brick load-bearing wall structure and elegant exterior primarily finished with stone-textured pebble-dash—often attracts many locals and tourists to visit and take photos. This year’s Christmas light decorations also align with the city government’s low-carbon and energy-saving philosophy, using LED lighting and recyclable materials. In addition to continuing past traditions of setting up lights along the routes of Tainan Railway Station, Tang De-chang Memorial Park, Zhongshan Road, Nanmen Road, and the Mayor’s Residence (where the lighting ceremony for the Mayor’s Residence is scheduled for 5:30 PM on December 13), dazzling and beautiful Christmas lights can also be seen at important city attractions and transportation hubs such as district offices across Tainan’s various administrative districts.
