Round Baby Leads the Way at the Zoo: Ultra-Cute Painted Train Launches Today

The much-talked-about giant panda cub "Round Baby" has attracted large numbers of "Round Baby fans" to the Taipei City Zoo's Panda House daily since her debut on January 6. On the one-week anniversary of her public appearance today (13th), the Taipei City Government launched the first "Round Baby Train" — a painted train on the Wenhu Line of the Taipei Metro. Both the interior and exterior of the Round Baby Train feature illustrations of Round Baby and the zoo, and the train seats even have 3D stickers for interactive photos.

The “Round Baby 3D sticker” designed on the train seats allows passengers to take fun photos. When someone sits on the seat, their friends can capture the perfect angle with their phones to photograph the passenger riding alongside Round Baby or playfully patting her head, creating memorable moments for zoo visitors of all ages.

 

In addition, as Round Baby’s popularity grows in Taiwan, awareness and discussion about the conservation of endangered wildlife have also become more active. Many people have even written to the Taipei City Zoo, asking whether Taiwan’s national treasure — the Formosan black bear — has also welcomed
