2014 Taiwan Happyland Theme Park Events & Limited-Time Offers Begin

Holiday season is here, and the most anticipated winter break for students has also begun. The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced that this year, 21 theme park operators are joining the winter vacation promotion campaign. Aside from offering a 50% discount to the first 20 visitors born in the Year of the Horse who enter the parks from the first to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, there's also the “Challenge & Answer – Prove You’re the Best” quiz, where the discount index gets an extra boost thanks to the Year of the Horse. Participants can first learn fun facts online by answering questions before racing to grab the deals.

 

Additionally, Tourism Bureau Director-General Xie Weijun mentioned that this year’s holiday period lasts only six days, making overseas trips too brief—so the best option is the 21 theme parks. None of them are raising prices and they are all offering plenty of discounts. To see the most beautiful winter cherry blossoms, head to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, Yunhsien Amusement Park, and Dongshi Forest; to admire tulips and peonies without leaving Taiwan, visit Shanlinxi; for world-famous cartoons and fairy tales, go to Janfusun Fancyworld and West Lake Resort; cute animals await at Leofoo Village and Wild Animal Kingdom; Lihpao Land combines light shows, fireworks, and the high-tech “Heavenly Horse Starry Sky” performance, which is also quite a sight. Moreover, various theme parks are also offering 50% off admission tickets, free entry for children, and a range of other promotions, while also enhancing safety measures within the parks.
