The Happy Christmas Town in New Taipei City, which captivated audiences in 2013 with its magical displays, is back with its iconic Christmas Santa and flying teddy bear. As Lunar New Year approaches, Santa has slipped into a festive outfit to become the God of Wealth, while the flying teddy bear has morphed into an adorable flying panda. From 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM every evening, they continue to present the ultra-cute and auspicious “Super Adorable, Bear-Filled Fortune” Lunar New Year light show, keeping the festive spirit alive from the New Year all the way through to the Lantern Festival.

This year’s Lunar New Year light show stars the God of Wealth and the adorable little panda, brought to life through LED tubes capable of displaying 65,536 colors, delivering a vibrant full-color animation spectacle. The flying panda soars across the sky on a kite, while the God of Wealth ascends the 35.5-meter-tall Fortune Tree once again to shower everyone with blessings. The animation incorporates various festive elements such as “Fortune Falls from the Sky,” “Wealth Flows Like a River,” and “Spring in Full Bloom.” The God of Wealth descends from above with a shower of gold coins and blessings, and this year, the super cute panda’s playful moves steal the show—wielding a brush with flair, it writes auspicious phrases and spreads good fortune. Don’t miss the delightful antics of this charming little panda.

From January 28 to February 14 (Lantern Festival), the 3-minute-and-55-second Lunar New Year light show will be staged every evening from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the hour, with performances suspended from January 30 to February 1 (New Year’s Eve to the second day of the Lunar New Year).
