New Year's Theme Park Visits: 6 Major Theme Parks' Discount Info

Winter vacation and the New Year holiday arrive together, and major theme parks are offering various discounts, including free admission for children under 12, half-price entry for those born in the Year of the Horse, and free admission for elementary school students with perfect report cards — all aimed at attracting visitors during the holiday period.

Lihpao Land Theme Park will launch a “Free Admission for Children Under 12” promotion from January 30 to February 9. During the first five days of the Lunar New Year, those born in the Year of the Horse can enjoy half-price entry, limited to 25 people per day. Additionally, from January 25 to February 10 (excluding January 30, New Year’s Eve), in collaboration with Hsinchu Bus, a convenient anti-traffic-jam shuttle service is offered with two direct buses daily. Ticket holders can also enjoy an exclusive Lihpao Land admission price of NT$599.

 

From January 31 to February 9, Leofoo Village offers free admission for children under 12 during the Spring Festival. Those born in the Year of the Horse can get half-price entry on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to 25 people per day from January 31 to February 4. Meanwhile, a limited-time single-ticket special sale is available until January 30 for NT$587, valid until February 16.

 

The 2014 Sun Moon Lake Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Cherry Blossom Festival offers tickets at a special price of NT$580 and youth tickets at NT$390 from now until January 30 and from February 5 to April 6, both including a free same-day Teddy Bear Gondola ride. From February 5 to 28 during the cherry blossom festival, tickets are NT$580, afternoon tickets NT$450 (sold from 14:30–16:30), and night cherry blossom tickets NT$390 (sold from 16:30–17:30). During the Lunar New Year period from January 31 to February 4, ticket prices return to the regular NT$780. Additionally, from February 6 to 28, visitors wearing full traditional Japanese kimono or yukata can enjoy a “Buy One Get One Free” deal for cherry blossom viewing.

 

At Janfusun Fancyworld, daytime admission is just NT$699 before March 2, NT$399 after 13:00, and NT$299 after 17:00.

 

E-DA Theme Park has collaborated with Cartoon Network for the first time, launching six lantern zones featuring five cartoons. Online pre-orders and purchases during the Spring Festival also come with a mascot tote lantern dragon. A new Spring Festival couple’s ticket (pre-order until February 15) is just NT$790 per person (original price NT$899), and the package also includes two mascot tote lanterns and two VIP ride passes. Additionally, from January 31 to February 4, students and youth ticket buyers receive a limited-edition mascot lantern. Show your photo taken on the Taiwan High-Speed Rail cartoon-themed train at designated E-DA Theme Park stores to redeem a free mascot lantern.

 

Yuan Ze Ocean Park in Hualien launches the “Elementary School Students with Perfect Scores — Free Winter Vacation Park Play” program. Students from national elementary schools can present their perfect score report cards to enjoy free admission to Yuan Ze Ocean Park from now until January 30 and from February 4 to 10. This offer does not apply during the Lunar New Year period from January 31 to February 3.
