The Hello Kitty-themed SNOOPY painted train by Kaohsiung MRT kicks off a limited-time joyful voyage

Kaohsiung MRT has launched an ultra-cute SNOOPY painted train, now in service starting today. The legendary American cartoonist who created SNOOPY and the Peanuts comics, Charles Schulz, brought SNOOPY to life in 1950. Since then, the character has appeared in over 2,600 newspapers across 75 countries, making it the most well-known and beloved newspaper comic strip in the world. Over the past 65 years, SNOOPY has captured the hearts of at least 350 million readers globally. To bring even more joy to the public, Kaohsiung MRT Company has, for the first time, arranged one themed painted train on both the Red and Orange Lines. The Red Line special train features SNOOPY and its friends, while the Orange Line special train showcases images of SNOOPY and its companions participating in various sports from the comics. Both painted trains will run in conjunction with the “Walking into Peanuts – SNOOPY 65th Anniversary Touring Exhibition” at Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung until August 31, the end of this summer vacation exhibition period.

 

To ensure all SNOOPY fans can happily attend the exhibition this summer vacation, Kaohsiung MRT Company has specially collaborated with the event organizer to issue a special MRT value ticket package. This includes the exhibition ticket plus a round-trip MRT single journey ticket. The original price for a single ticket package is NT$320, with a discounted price of NT$250. The original price for a double ticket package is NT$640, with a discounted price of NT$450. These packages have been available for sale since May 1 at all MRT station service desks, MRT merchandise stores, and the Zuoying Station travel information desk. In addition, Kaohsiung MRT Company and the organizers have also designed a SNOOPY nougat gift box featuring a design of SNOOPY happily riding the MRT, which will be sold at the exhibition venue during the exhibition period (June 28 to August 31).
