The filming location for the movie “Lucy” was the food court on the 4th floor of Yongle Market. Currently, there are no renovation projects underway,In the movie “Lucy,” famous snack shops on the 4th floor of Yongle Market—Ah Fa Snacks and Ah Wen Keelung Seafood—were both featured. Director Luc Besson chose this location for filming because the authentic Taiwanese flavors in the market matched the original concept of the movie script. The scenes are still preserved as they were during filming.; In response to the recent surge in visitors coming to see the filming locations on the 4th floor of Yongle Market after the movie’s release, signage will be enhanced at the building entrances this week to guide the public directly to the shooting spots, allowing them to explore the actual filming locations of “Lucy.” Visitors can also enjoy the famous local delicacies on the 4th floor of Yongle Market during their visit.

Additionally, the renovation project on the first floor of Yongle Market began as originally scheduled in early March this year. Due to the unknown release date of the movie and differing opinions among vendors, it was difficult to reach a consensus, which led to delays in the project. The current completion target is October. During the renovation period, to avoid impacting the livelihoods of vendors, they have been temporarily relocated to temporary stalls along Dihua Street and Yongchang Street, as well as to the 4th floor of Yongle Market. Once the first floor is completed, they will move back and resume business.
