This year’s Double Ten National Day features a three-day consecutive holiday. To better serve passengers traveling home or going on trips, Taiwan High Speed Rail will...From Thursday, October 9 to Monday, October 13 — a five-day National Day transport period— the company will add 36 southbound and 29 northbound services, totaling 65 extra train trips. Across the five days, 740 services will be available in total. The "free seating" option and the “Early Bird Discount” will remain in place, with up to seven trains per hour in each direction during peak times to maximize capacity for travelers.Passengers may purchase round-trip tickets for the entire National Day transport period starting at midnight on Friday, September 12.

To encourage more passengers to “ride the high-speed rail and explore Taiwan” during the National Day holiday, the rail operator has designated 504 services eligible for the “Early Bird Discount,” accounting for over 68% of all services during this period. Among these, 55 specified services in standard class with assigned seating will offer an Early Bird discount of either 65% off (31 services) or 90% off (24 services) (see table below for applicable services). Passengers who book their tickets between 5 and 28 days before their travel date may enjoy Early Bird discounts of 65%, 80%, or 90%. Supplies are limited — the earlier you book, the better your chances. Don’t miss out, book early.

 

During the National Day transport period, all services will continue to offer 3 to 4 cars of free seating. Passengers holding periodic tickets, return tickets, or EasyCard co-branded cards (with auto top-up enabled) can enter stations directly via card tap. Please reserve your seat in advance and pick up your ticket early so you can go straight to the platform and board without waiting in ticket lines or dealing with crowded stations.

※ During the transport period, the “University Student Discount” (applicable services listed on the corporate website), “Standard Class Cardholder Discounts,” and “Business Class Limited Upgrades” promotions will apply. The “Off-Peak Weekday Discount,” “Senior Citizen Discount,” “Group Discounts for 30+ People,” and “School Excursion” promotions will not be available.
