Antelope Canyon lies year-round within a dry riverbed and is geographically divided into Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons. Upper Antelope Canyon, called "Tse bighanilini" in Navajo, means "the place where water runs through rocks." Because the canyon floor is relatively wide and located above ground, it is the most visited part. Lower Antelope Canyon may not look remarkable at first glance, and if you don’t pay close attention, it’s easy to miss the deep crevice hidden within the ground beneath your feet. To explore it, you need to climb metal stairs down into the earth, and you might even have to use ropes midway to complete the journey. Due to the higher difficulty level of entry, fewer tourists visit. However, it is a popular spot for photographers.
