On December 20, 2014, Tokyo Station celebrated its 100th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, the station not only established a special website but also introduced a variety of events and co-branded products. As Japan’s first train station, it has withstood the Russo-Japanese War, bombings during World War II by the U.S. military, and remarkably retained its full structure after restoration completed on October 1, 2012. Now, Tokyo Station has become an essential historical and cultural landmark that visitors to Tokyo simply cannot miss.
