● Busan Christmas Tree Culture Festival
To celebrate the joyous Christmas season, Busan holds the Busan Christmas Tree Culture Festival every year in the trendy Gwangbok-ro area. Shoppers strolling along the street can enjoy a variety of dazzling light displays and elaborate decorations. At the Changsan intersection (the center of Gwangbok-ro), a massive Christmas tree over 20 meters tall is erected, growing larger and more magnificent each year. The festival also features concerts, opening performances, tree-lighting ceremonies, street performances, photography contests, and citizen-led shows. If you’re planning a trip to Busan in winter, we highly recommend visiting the Gwangbok-ro area.
