Taipei MRT’s Songshan Line officially opened on the 15th, marking the official split of the Xindian Line and Tamsui Line, changing the commuting lives of many Taipei residents. Although the Taipei MRT launched a one-month free trial ride promotion for the Songshan Line and assigned station numbers to make riding more convenient, many passengers still find the newly updated MRT network map complex.

Online, a Japanese railway enthusiast has enthusiastically redrawn the latest version of the Taipei MRT network map, replacing the large boxes that indicated route intersections with a layout resembling the Japanese MRT system and increasing font sizes. Many netizens have praised this version for being clearer. Regardless of which version is better designed, the Taipei MRT says any version that provides accurate and practical information is acceptable.
