Spring cherry blossom viewing has become a popular leisure activity across Taiwan in recent years, and among the various cherry blossom spots nationwide, the most ideal location—boasting open, scenic, flat terrain and accessibility for all age groups—is undoubtedly the cherry grove at National Chi Nan University. Covering an area of 150 hectares, the campus is surrounded by green mountains and blue skies, with thousands of Taiwan mountain cherry and Japanese Yaezakura trees beginning to bloom beautifully on a 20-hectare lawn, creating a paradise-like flower-viewing experience.

The Sun Moon Lake Scenic Area Administration, National Chi Nan University, and the Dapuli Area Tourism Development Association are once again hosting a cherry blossom event from February 1 to February 20, 2015 (around Lunar New Year), combining "cherry blossoms" and "Chinese tea culture" at the university’s cherry grove. Domestic and international visitors are invited to "enjoy fine tea and admire cherry blossoms" under thousands of blooming trees, indulging in a romantic and colorful cozy afternoon.

On February 7 (Saturday), the "Flower Tea Appreciation" event will feature high mountain oolong from Ren'ai Township, black tea from Yuchi Township, and Dongding oolong from Lugu Township as the stars of the tea tasting. Grand tea parties will be held in the morning and afternoon, with 200 participants accepted per session. The participation fee is NT$300 per person, which includes a set of cherry blossom commemorative tea cups (one aroma cup and one tasting cup), as well as the experience of professional tea masters offering tea sessions and live music performances. Join us for a leisurely moment under the cherry blossoms to savor the beauty of flowers and tea this season.
