Within Alishan Forest Recreation Area, the Yoshino cherry is the most abundant, with over 1,900 trees. The second most numerous are Taiwan mountain cherries, numbering more than 1,780 trees, while double-flowered yaezakura also exceed a thousand. ● Two Recommended Best Routes for Cherry Blossom Viewing:
◎ Route 1: From Alishan Guest House, passing through Plum Garden and Alishan Police Station to Zhushan Trailhead. This cherry blossom walking trail is just over 600 meters long, lined with decades-old Yoshino cherry trees.

◎ Route 2: This cherry blossom route starts at Zhuping Railway Station, passing through Zhuping Park, Sisters Ponds, Shouzhen Temple, Ci Yun Temple, Alpine Museum, Tree Spirit Pagoda, Xianglin Junior High School, Three Generation Tree, and Elephant Trunk Tree, ending at Alishan Guest House. The total length is about 2.6 kilometers. Additionally, during the flowering season, apart from cherry blossoms, magnolia, iris, Formosan azalea, and Taiwan pleione also bloom. With a riot of flowers, the scenery is truly magnificent.
