Following the cherry blossom craze, the Changhua County Government has also organized various flower-viewing events to celebrate the golden trumpet trees, kapok, and tung blossoms in full bloom—inviting everyone to come and enjoy Changhua’s floral splendor.

● Golden Trumpet Trees
Each season brings its own charm: in spring around March, the flowering season features abundant blooms with few leaves, creating a stunning sight; in summer, the trees grow leaves and fruit pods, with winged seeds fluttering about; in autumn, the branches are lush and green; in winter, the bare branches and fallen leaves exude a sense of stark beauty. To admire the beautiful golden trumpet tree blossoms, visit the Section 1 Highway in Changhua’s Xizhou area (south of National Freeway 1), the Shanjiao Trail in Ershui Township, or the Zhongnan Road (Provincial Highway 14D) in Fen Yuan Township.

● Kapok
In subtropical Taiwan, kapok becomes a deciduous tree species, shedding all its leaves in winter to reveal stark, bare branches. By April in spring, flower buds rapidly grow and soon cover the tree in brilliant blooms. As the flowering period nears its end, leaf buds sprout quickly, soon turning the tree lush and green. When the breeze blows, it creates a uniquely graceful beauty. To admire kapok blossoms, visit areas such as the Dongluo Stream in Pitou Township or the north bank of the Zhuoshui River in Zhutang Township.
