Taipei Turns Into a Playground: Kids’ Holiday Fun Galore

With the four-day Children’s Qingming holiday approaching, Taipei City offers more than just the Children’s Amusement Park and Taipei Zoo. Alongside many limited-time events, there are plenty of great spots perfect for families and small groups of friends. Below, we’ve specially combined limited-time activities and exhibitions at Baishihu Strawberry Farm, Zhuzihu Calla Lily Garden, as well as the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and Baozangyan, to create three recommended itineraries that ensure fun for both kids and adults during the holiday.

● Sweet Outing: Baishihu Strawberry Farm → Songshan Airport Observation Deck

Located in Neihu District, Baishihu Strawberry Farm is in peak season during March and April. Stroll along the farm paths and you’ll be greeted by the sweet aroma of strawberries, with rows of bright red, plump fruits in sight — the air itself seems tinged with a faint pink hue. The highlight of Baishihu Strawberry Farm is that most farms use greenhouse organic farming methods, so rain isn’t a concern. Both adults and children can enjoy the fun of picking strawberries by hand. The Tourism and Communications Bureau reminds visitors not to rush down the mountain after picking strawberries — there are many attractions around Baishihu, such as Tongxin Pond, Husband and Wife Trees, and Bishan Rock. Also, if you have time on the way back, consider visiting the Songshan Airport Observation Deck to watch planes take off and land.
