Over 100 varieties of roses in full bloom！ The Shilin Official Residence Rose Exhibition is open during the exhibition period

April is a time of blooming flowers in the warmth of spring. From April 1 to April 12, 2015, the Shilin Official Residence will host the “Shilin Official Residence Rose Exhibition” at the Shilin Official Residence Park. In addition to the over 150 varieties of roses cultivated in the outdoor rose garden, the rose greenhouse will also display nearly 20 rare and delicate rose varieties as well as nearly 100 rose painting artworks, inviting visitors to come and explore during the weekend holidays.

The pure white rose greenhouse in the Shilin Official Residence Rose Garden is not usually open to the public. For the “Shilin Official Residence Rose Exhibition,” it specially showcases nearly 20 special strains of potted roses in the greenhouse, such as the “Topsy Turvy” with its dwarf, abundant blooms of vivid red wavy petals and a faint apple fragrance; in addition, the “Royal Victoria Rose,” resembling a crown and featuring one flower with two buds, which was air-freighted from Ecuador; the “Dancing Girl Rose” cultivated in Taiwan with its tender white and pink hues; and the most eye-catching “Rainbow Rose” of the year—various types of cut roses are presented through floral art to showcase the beauty of roses.

If just viewing the roses isn’t enough for you, during the exhibition period, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on weekends, there will be painting teachers next to the rose greenhouse who can paint beautiful rose designs on visitors’ bags, clothes, hats, and more. There is a daily limit of 50 participants—don’t miss out！
