Cherry blossoms and tung blossoms all in one go—double the floral delight in Tucheng!

Cherry blossoms continue to bloom along the Hope River in the flatlands of Tucheng District, while tung blossoms are eagerly flowering in front of the Tucheng District Office and Tucheng Elementary School. The very first tung blossom of the season has made an early appearance in Tucheng District, a key spot for tung blossom viewing in New Taipei City, creating a rare spectacle where cherry and tung blossoms bloom simultaneously!

Tung blossoms usually bloom around Grain Rain, but this year, even before Grain Rain arrives, they’re already eager to open. Along the row of tung blossom trees planted in the plaza in front of the Tucheng District Office, some have quietly sprouted delicate white flowers at their tips, while others have formed flower buds, as if reminding residents that the Tung Blossom Festival is just around the corner.
