The City Light Gallery shines again with renewed splendor—featuring a 3D landscape glowing giraffe

The City Light Gallery regains its former glory. The entire stretch of Kaohsiung’s City Light Gallery, located in the linear space between Zhonghua Road, Wufu Road, and Zhongshan Road, has been revitalized. It combines 3D landscape and wall art, lightweight membrane architecture, an art corridor, and nighttime light installations, attracting many visitors to take photos and media coverage, making it once again a popular tourist spot in Kaohsiung.

Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu stated that 10 years ago, the “City Light Gallery” ignited a spark for spatial transformation. By connecting idle spaces through the commercial district, it sparked an urban aesthetic trend and redefined the concept of parks, making Kaohsiung’s nights more beautiful and turning it into one of the city’s iconic attractions. Now, in line with the changes at Central Park and the bustling foot traffic at the MRT station, the Kaohsiung City Government has completed projects including the entrance plaza, art corridor, performance square, pedestrian cultural space, and G1 Service Center. In addition, it has collaborated with renowned domestic artists to jointly create 16 themed landscape installation works, establishing a humanities and arts park.
