Hong Kong’s Michelin one-star restaurant “Tim Ho Wan” is opening a new branch in Taichung after establishing outlets at Taipei Station Front and Xinyi. The third branch is set to open on the B2 level of Taichung’s Dayeh Takashimaya in early June. Initially, it will serve basic menu offerings such as the Sun Big Heavenly King, while takeout services will be determined based on future operational conditions.

Since entering Taiwan in 2014, Tim Ho Wan has currently opened two branches in Taipei: the Taipei Station Front and Xinyi branches. Both focus on serving authentic one-star dim sum with freshly steamed, made-to-order specialties. In addition to takeaway services offered at the Station Front branch, the Xinyi branch also recently launched takeout. Moreover, diners can enjoy not only the basic menu at both locations but also exclusive chef-recommended specials — such as Radish柱侯 Beef Tripe and Spicy Salt Squid Balls at Xinyi, or Preserved Meat Glutinous Rice, Curry Beef Brisket Ramen, and Crispy Fried Tofu at Station Front.

The third branch will be located on the B2 level of Taichung’s Dayeh Takashimaya Department Store, with an expected opening in early June, allowing fans from central and southern Taiwan to enjoy one-star Hong Kong-style dim sum without traveling all the way to Taipei.
