The Zhongshe Flower Sea Bursting with Colorful Lavender and Lilies

The Zhongshe Scenic Flower Market spans six hectares. Though not especially vast, it offers a breathtaking sea of blooming flowers all year long. After the tulip season around the Chinese New Year, it is now featuring lilies specially imported from abroad. In addition to the four common major types of lilies, it has also introduced rare varieties seldom seen in Taiwan, such as those with purple eyes, double red blooms, and pink fragrant blossoms. Moreover, the flower market presents a vibrant floral field composed of various blooms including hollyhocks, water lilies, lavender, and cosmos, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a million-blossom sea of flowers without leaving the country.

Lilies and hollyhocks will remain in bloom until the end of May. Among the displayed lilies, in addition to Oriental, Asiatic, and Trumpet types, you can also find special varieties that are relatively rare in the Taiwanese market, such as Thesire, Dancing Lady, Prince’s Permission, Triumphe, and Rose Lily. Meanwhile, the hollyhock, also known as "One Zhang Red," is also in full bloom, featuring both double and single petals in more than 10 colors including red, peach, pink, yellow, white, and black.
