Kyoto’s Three Major Traditional Festivals – The Jidai Matsuri (Festival of the Ages)

Its architecture is designed based on the traditional Kyomachiya (Kyoto townhouse) style, exuding the charm of the ancient capital.

The Jidai Matsuri Museum not only houses shops offeringKyotocuisine and traditional crafts but also features projections by renowned Japanese animator Mr. Masashi Mitani. Using highly realistic 3DCG technology, he brings to life the grand parade of the Jidai Matsuri procession, allowing visitors to experience the unique allure of the festival.
