Attention Hello Kitty fans: not only does EVA Air have Hello Kitty-themed planes, but now Taiwan Railways is also planning to launch a Hello Kitty Taroko train, set to officially make its debut for touring Taiwan by the end of the year！

Recently, Taiwan Railways, through EVA Air—which has long-term cooperation experience with Japan’s Sanrio—plans to launch a Hello Kitty-painted Taroko train by the end of the year. Its exterior will be newly dressed like JR West Japan’s “Wakayama train,” featuring a full Kitty design and integrating iconic Taiwanese tourist elements such as the National Palace Museum and Alishan. For the interior, Taiwan Railways will incorporate Hello Kitty patterns into the seat designs. In addition, onboard signage, LED displays, and the trolley service will all be redesigned. Passengers may even get to taste a limited-edition Hello Kitty train bento. The design sketches are expected to be completed after mid-June, and the train will officially debut and meet fans by the end of the year. Taiwan Railways anticipates a positive impact on its brand image and passenger volume.
