The 20th Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival is here — Early Bird Pre-Sales Now Live, Let’s Fly Together

The most anticipated Yilan Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival of summer returns from July 4 to August 23 at the Dongshan River Water Park Up！This year’s theme is “Fly,” with internationally renowned designer Aaron Nieh (Xiao Qingyang) crafting the festival’s main visual identity, using keyboard symbols beloved by the 20-something generation as design elements, while also introducing brand-new amusement facilities. It’s the festival’s way of declaring: we’re turning 20！

This year, in addition to various exhibitions and performances, the festival has launched multiple brand-new land and water play facilities to keep everyone cool all summer. On land, the biggest highlight is the “Play Sky Tower,” standing 14 meters tall with 20 levels of experiences including mazes, swings, and rock climbing, with the top level offering views of the Dongshan River. In the water zone, the classic big slide has been upgraded into the “Children’s Airship,” promising fun for all ages. Additionally, the festival features indoor venues such as the Kids’ Cultural Creativity Pavilion, Dream Fly Pavilion, Parent-Child Game Pavilion, and the Little Universe Theater, where you can enjoy hands-on DIY creativity and storytelling in the theater！

With “Fly” as its theme, the 2015 festival not only symbolizes a new chapter for the event but also embodies hopes for greater innovation and excellence. Featuring brand-new water and land activities along with themed exhibition halls, it invites everyone to soar into a cool midsummer adventure！Early bird discount tickets have now sold out. From June 1 to June 30, presale tickets are available: adult tickets cost NT$300 on holidays and NT$200 on weekdays, while children’s presale tickets are NT$200 and NT$100 respectively. Tickets can be purchased at any of the four major convenience store chains nationwide — 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, and OK Mart！During the festival, ticket holders can also enjoy free admission to the Yilan Fine Arts Museum and discounted entry to the National Museum of Prehistory’s permanent exhibits.
