The Rainbow Tunnel of Spinning Colors and Qingjing Windmill Festival Kick Off in a Colorful Splash

The annual "Qingjing Summer Windmill Festival" officially kicked off on July 4th this year. This year features a giant windmill themed “Sheep Strolling in the Clouds,” alongside more than ten hand-painted windmills and tens of thousands of small Spanish-style windmills that together form vibrant shape decorations, standing out brilliantly against a canvas of blue skies, white clouds, and green fields. Additionally, to promote the culture of Yunnan’s Bai people, this year’s organizers have adopted the theme “Colorful Yunnan,” crafting decorations such as peacock totems using windmills. The event also offers Yunnan traditional costume rentals and live music performances, inviting everyone to come to Qingjing and sway to the fusion of Yunnan and summer vibes.

The Qingjing Windmill Festival is an iconic annual tourism and art event in the Qingjing area, mainly held at two locations: the Guanshan Grazing Area of Qingjing Farm and Little Switzerland Garden. This year, from July 4th to August 22nd, the festival presents a giant windmill themed “Sheep Strolling in the Clouds,” landscape art formed by tens of thousands of Spanish-style windmills, and a rainbow windmill tunnel, all set against lush green fields under blue skies and white clouds, showcasing a uniquely romantic and joyful ambiance that can only be found in Taiwan. In order to promote Yunnan’s Bai culture, the organizers have also offered Yunnan traditional costume rentals during the event period, along with weekend performances featuring the Yunnan instrument “Hulusi.” This summer, come to Qingjing Farm, ascend to higher grounds to enjoy the distinctive scenery of the Qingjing Windmill Festival, and have fun chasing the wind together with adorable sheep.
