First sale of commemorative tickets for Taitung’s legendary hard-to-reach hidden station!

Shanli Station in Taitung, once described by writer Liu Kechang as a "legendary station that can't be reached," is the most remote of over 200 stations operated by Taiwan Railways—about 7 kilometers from the main highway. Starting on July 18, 2015, it will officially sell commemorative platform tickets for the first time, limited to 1,000 copies.

Located in Beinan Township, Taitung, Shanli Station is a small station nestled in a village seemingly cut off from the world. Surrounded by mountains, it offers the best views of the Dulan Mountain Range. As a station where only local trains stop—express trains all speed past—it was once called a “legendary station that can’t be reached” by writer Liu Kechang, attracting many travelers to Taitung in search of Shanli Station.
