New Taipei City’s Tourism and Travel Bureau has launched eight “Happy Farm Light Travel” routes, including the Sanzhi Shimen Far North Mini Trip, the Shiding Pinglin Tea Country and Traditional Handicrafts Tour, the Shuangxi Leisure Day and Two-Day Trips, allowing visitors to experience the optimistic and contented lifestyle of rural life through travel.

The “Happy Farm Light Travel” will take visitors to off-the-beaten-path spots: in Sanzhi Shimen, they can experience farming activities such as harvesting water bamboo shoots, digging sweet potatoes, and painting kites; in Shiding, they can try hand-pulled noodles; in Pinglin, they can visit the Tea Industry Museum and explore tea plantations to learn about tea-making and tasting.

On the two-day Shuangxi trip, besides exploring old streets, visitors can also enjoy organic farm food and pick mushrooms at the Wu Brothers Farm, as well as visit local highlights such as the blacksmith shop and camellia garden.

A total of 1,680 spots are available. One-day tours start from NT$599 up to NT$1,300, and two-day tours are NT$3,500. The Sanzhi Shimen Far North Mini Trip is limited to 40 people per session, while other routes are limited to 18 people per session. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis.
