A must-visit café opened by GD — a pilgrimage site for BigBang fans!

The Korean idol group BigBang enjoys immense popularity around the world, and recently, the leader G-Dragon (GD) made a high-profile crossover by investing heavily to open a café on Jeju Island in South Korea named “Monsant Cafe,” which has quickly become a hot topic on the island.

Monsant Café is located by the “Aewol” (also known as “Pyeopu”) coastline, where the pleasant scenery has attracted numerous Korean dramas to film there. The café also takes advantage of Jeju Island’s unique natural landscape, using large glass panels that allow guests to enjoy the stunning blue sea view from both indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Different from GD’s usual avant-garde and fashionable image, Monsant Café doesn’t use extravagant decorations but instead adopts a natural and unpretentious industrial resort style. Large weathered stone walls paired with stylish wooden furniture and decor instantly help guests relax upon entering, allowing them to fully enjoy their coffee and the view outside. Currently, Monsant Café is in its soft-opening phase, with plans to officially open in mid-October.
