Dubai is every architect’s dream destination, where the wildest imaginations can come to life. A Polish architect has proposed building a tennis court underwater in Dubai, allowing people to play or watch matches while enjoying the novelty of having the ocean as their sky and fish swimming overhead.

This design proposal, put forward by Polish architect Krzysztof Kotala, plans to construct an underwater tennis court with a transparent arched ceiling near Dubai’s iconic Burj Al Arab hotel. The impressive idea includes not only the planned seven tennis courts but also other recreational spaces. However, realizing an underwater tennis court would require overcoming numerous challenges, such as underwater pressure, construction materials, and a massive glass dome estimated to cost billions of dollars.

Although investors are still being sought, if such a dreamlike structure were to be built anywhere soon, Dubai would undoubtedly be the top choice. (Image source: dailymail)
 
This proposal is still in search of investors, but the fantastical blueprint has already attracted significant attention. If there’s any place where this world-class, dreamlike architecture could become a reality first, Dubai is definitely the leading candidate.
