New Highlight: Enjoy Food and Coffee at IKEA House

Following the success of the first IKEA House launched in 2014 on Chongqing South Road—where guests could freely book gatherings and overnight stays—IKEA has once again transformed an old building on Section 2, Zhongxiao East Road into the second-generation IKEA House. This Nordic-style house spans four floors and 112 ping (approximately 370 square meters). This time, no reservation is needed to visit for free, and visitors can also enjoy coffee and delicious food. The new space officially opened on the 19th, and IKEA Family cardholders can get an early taste from December 16th to 18th by visiting IKEA House to experience the warmth of home.

As you look toward Shandao Temple Metro Station from Huashan 1914 Creative Park, you’ll immediately spot IKEA House. The entirely white building, paired with vibrant window frames, is highly eye-catching. For this project, IKEA renovated a nearly 40-year-old building, preserving traditional features of Taiwanese homes such as red brick walls and terrazzo flooring, while incorporating Nordic-style furniture and design planning to create a uniquely refreshing spatial experience.

The first floor of IKEA House features an IKEA FIKA coffee bar, where coffee, Swedish cuisine, and home furnishings are sold. After ordering, you can head up to the second-floor dining area to enjoy your meal. The second-floor dining space is designed with bright, open layouts, accented by simple arrangements of sofas and armchairs that create a dynamic sense of layering. Large windows offer views of the tree-lined scenery along Zhongxiao East Road. The third floor includes home living spaces such as a living room and workspace, while the fourth floor is designed as a kitchen and dining area.
