As winter fades, various regions across Taiwan gradually enter cherry blossom season. In addition to the more famous hotspots like Yangmingshan, Tamsui Tianyuan Temple, and Wuling Farm, there are actually many popular spots waiting for visitors to explore. Below is a compilation of popular cherry blossom spots around Taiwan for your reference.

● Taipei
→ Lane 42, Pingjing St., Yangmingshan
→ Zhongshan Blvd., Beitou

● New Taipei
All 29 districts in New Taipei City have cherry blossoms, but they are most densely concentrated in Sanzhi, Wulai, and Sanxia; more remote areas such as Tamsui, Xizhi, Pinglin, Shiding, Ruifang, and Shuangxi also have quite a few. Urban areas including Sanchong's Zhongxin Rd., several parks in Xinzhuang, Zhonghe's Hongludi, Banqiao’s Xinzhuang Special Zone, and Xindian’s Sunshine Sports Park all feature cherry blossoms “showing off” their red hues. In 2016, they are expected to bloom gradually starting in late February.
