A new international architectural

Taiwan’s international architectural design scene welcomes a new masterpiece—the “m8 Pavilion” has grandly opened at the Kinmen Wind Lion God Shopping Center. This approximately 300-ping exhibition space was designed by internationally renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, using natural materials to create a space named after light, blending elements such as color, lighting, and space to form a new landmark where light and shadow intertwine with architecture.

The name “m8 Pavilion” originates from the use of transparent nylon ropes woven into organic partition screens indoors, with light projection forming light walls that break away from the traditional white-box walls of exhibition spaces. It divides the area into multifunctional zones including display spaces, meeting rooms, reception desks, a light snack area, and a bar area.

The outdoor space features large glass windows offering an unobstructed view, while the outdoor terrace area uses irregular wooden lines to exude a Japanese and Eastern Zen aesthetic. The integration of water, light, and air gives a sense of the warm beauty found in traditional architecture.

Following its win of the National Architecture Gold Award, the Wind Lion God Shopping Center once again presents a new humanistic landmark with international-quality living aesthetics.
