A Delicious Rest Stop on a Bike Ride Around Shizitou Island – LILI KOKO Coffee

 I used to think of Shizitou Island as the most flood-prone place in Taipei, and I even used to confuse it with Xizhi... But after getting to know a friend who lives there, I learned exactly where it is. Still, after biking around a bit, I didn’t find it particularly special.

I only just found out that Shizitou Island is a sandbank at the confluence of the Tamsui River and the Keelung River. Recently, however, I discovered the complete bike path that circles the entire island—it’s perfect for outings with friends or family. Along the way, you can enjoy the strong rural vibe of Shizitou, and you’ll also pass parks, wetlands, and large bridges.

I happened to discover a coffee shop located right next to the Shizitou Island bike path, so I immediately rode my motorcycle straight there to check it out. LILI KOKO mainly serves coffee, flavored milk, teas, and desserts. Their dessert options include handmade cookies, cakes, and savory pies.

The latte art was lovely, and the highlight was how unexpectedly well cinnamon and honey went together. In the past, neither Pippi nor I were big fans of the smell of cinnamon, but this cinnamon-scented latte didn’t bother us at all—in fact, we really liked it.
