The Kaohsiung MRT has created a Chibi Maruko-chan themed station. In addition to discovering cartoon shrines and park scenes at Formosa Boulevard Station, you can also visit Central Park Station to find Maruko and her friends playing in a sunflower sea, making many passengers exclaim how adorable it is.

To welcome the New Year together with passengers, Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation (KRTC) has collaborated with the famous Japanese cartoon character “Chibi Maruko-chan” to create a “Chibi Maruko-chan Themed Station” at Formosa Boulevard Station. In addition to transplanting important cartoon locations such as the shrine and park scenes into the MRT station, they have also launched a limited-edition Maruko-themed KRTC merchandise shop, making Kaohsiung an even better destination for outings. Furthermore, recently KRTC has “planted” sunflowers on both sides of the escalators at the beautiful Central Park Station. The beautiful flower field attracted Maruko and her friends to come for an outing, and their cute appearance has made many passersby unable to resist taking photos to commemorate the moment.
