As winter fades, the crimson blossoms standing proudly on branches quietly unfurl. Every spring, the Sanzhi Cherry Blossom Season attracts numerous flower enthusiasts. Over twenty years ago, the New Taipei City Sanzhi District Office began planting cherry trees extensively, and now the district boasts more than sixteen thousand cherry trees, making it one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing spots.

The New Taipei City Sanzhi District Office has planted cherry trees extensively over the past twenty years, and now the district has more than sixteen thousand cherry trees, mainly consisting of mountain cherries, Yoshino cherries, and double-flowered cherries. In recent years, around 200 Yoshino cherry trees have been planted along the Sansheng Trail, complemented by the gentle sound of the Dakeng Stream, creating an absolutely breathtaking view that is a must-visit cherry blossom spot.

Additionally, if you’re not just looking to admire the blossoms, the Sanzhi District Office also held the “Spring Breeze Brings Cherry Blossoms” cherry blossom hiking and picnic event on March 19 at the Sansheng Trail in Sanzhi. Alongside the beautiful melodies woven by cellos and ukuleles, visitors can stroll under the crimson cherry blossoms and enjoy a picnic on the grassy area along the cherry blossom trail with family and friends, savoring a laid-back moment with the blue sky as the roof and cherry blossoms as the table.

Turn onto Old Provincial Highway 2 at km 20.8 of Provincial Highway 2, drive about 200 meters to reach Bridge 17, the entrance to the Sansheng Trail
