As summer arrives, beautiful lotus flowers gradually begin to bloom. The local government has compiled a list of 7 hidden lotus viewing spots in New Taipei City. Each spot is within a one-hour drive from the city center. Visitors might want to take some time off to explore the fresh beauty of lotuses in New Taipei.

In the Xiauhe area of Jinshan Qingshui, the lotus flowers have entered their peak blooming season, and both lotus seeds and lotus roots are soon to be harvested. Unlike typical lotus fields, this place grows rare “double-petal lotuses,” whose flowers are gorgeous and intricate, resembling the noble and luxurious appearance of peonies, with their splendid beauty leaving a stunning impression.

Additionally, there are blooming lotus fields in Tunsanli in Tamsui, Shanglinli in Shuangxi, San Shu Road in Sanxia, beside the Danjin Highway in Sanzhi, the Lotus Park at the Ersheng Flood Diversion Channel, and the Xin Hai Phase III Wetland in Banqiao. The lush green lotus leaves sway gently in the breeze, while delicate and dewy lotus blossoms emit their fragrance, spreading an elegant and refreshing aroma in the summer heat, adding a touch of cool beauty to the season.
