Even adults are rushing to ride the Totoro Bus as the Huge Ghibli Expo makes its debut

Fans of Studio Ghibli, take note: the “Huge Ghibli Expo” will be held from July 7 to September 11 at the Roppongi Hills Observatory in Tokyo. This special event celebrates the 30th anniversary of Studio Ghibli, showcasing everything from classic masterpieces like *Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind* to *Red Turtle*, which won’t be released until September 17 this year. There will also be a giant Totoro Bus that both kids and adults can ride together.

At the Huge Ghibli Expo, all unpublished treasures from Studio Ghibli since its founding in 1985 will be displayed, including posters, flyers, production materials, and planning documents for every work. In line with the studio’s recurring theme of “yearning for the skies,” the exhibition is being held at the Roppongi Hills Observatory, 250 meters above ground. It will also feature the “Ghibli Aircraft Exhibition” and displays related to the film *Red Turtle*.

Tickets for the Huge Ghibli Expo range from 1,100 to 2,300 yen. The event will run from July 7 to September 11 at the Roppongi Hills Observatory in Tokyo. The exhibition area will have four major shopping zones offering many exclusive expo merchandise items. Visitors to Tokyo during this period should be sure to add this to their itinerary.
