The brand-new Minion Park opens at Universal Studios Japan in 2017

Universal Studios Japan is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and has recently announced the opening of the “Minion Park” in 2017. Centered around the popular animated character Minions, the new area will feature brand-new rides, an original merchandise store, and a Minion restaurant, covering an area of 8,400 square meters. Upon opening, it will be the largest “Minion Park” in the world.

The brand-new “Minion Park” will be renovated from the closed Back to the Future area, which ceased operations in May. In addition, a series of promotional events will be held in conjunction with the movie Despicable Me 3, along with special merchandise releases, expected to spark a new wave of Minion mania.
