Must-See Golden Fields of Flowers This Summer: Taimali’s Daylily Season

Due to unusual weather this year, the daylily fields in Taimali, Taitung, bloomed about half a month later than usual, also narrowly avoiding the impact of Typhoon Nepartak. Blooming began in late July and will continue to cover the entire mountainous area after August. The Taimali Township Office will also host a series of Daylily Season events, inviting all visitors to join in the celebration.

The climate on Daylily Mountain in Taimali is diverse with long hours of sunlight, providing ideal conditions for plant growth. It is a renowned flower-viewing destination. The daylily season runs from July to October each year. Because the flowering period is extremely short, the flowers are also known as "one-day beauties." Affected by the strong cold wave earlier this year, this year’s daylily bloom has been delayed by about half a month, with full blooms expected in early August.

To attract visitors to the flower fields, the Taimali Township Office has organized a series of Daylily Season events. Additionally, a special shuttle bus service to Taimali Daylily Mountain has been arranged. From August 1 to September 11, buses will depart every Monday to Friday at 09:00 and 14:00, with pick-up available at either the Taimali Township Office or the Taitung County Tourism Service Center.
