Dragging a heavy suitcase through the airport to catch a flight is probably a nightmare for many travelers. A well-known international crowdfunding site has featured a suitcase with electric scooter functionality called “Modobag” that you can ride for fast mobility — it’s sure to turn heads among other travelers.

The design of the Modobag complies with U.S. air transport standards and can be used as a carry-on suitcase. Its most distinctive feature is the electric wheels, allowing you to sit on the suitcase and steer it using a handlebar. It has a maximum weight capacity of 117 kilograms and a top speed of 12.9 kilometers per hour — three times the average walking speed.

Additionally, the Modobag features two USB charging ports for mobile devices, a built-in GPS tracking system to locate the suitcase, and is available at an early bird price of $995 on the crowdfunding site — about NT$30,000. It is expected to begin shipping as early as January 2017.
