Must-try matcha desserts at Kyoto's renowned Itoh Kyuemon, now available via direct delivery from Japan

Itoh Kyuemon, a popular Kyoto matcha shop with over 180 years of history, officially opened its first overseas flagship store on July 27. Located in Zhongshan District, Taipei, the store offers a daily limited supply of "matcha parfaits," as well as other takeout items such as matcha daifuku, matcha raw chocolate, and matcha cappuccino.

Established in 1832, Itoh Kyuemon specializes in matcha-related products. Its first overseas branch opened on July 27 in Zhongshan District, Taipei. The dine-in area only serves the signature "matcha parfait," while other takeout items are available in limited quantities. The previously preorder-only Uji matcha cake roll sold out quickly, with the second batch becoming available in late August.

The Taiwan branch of Itoh Kyuemon is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and is closed on Mondays. All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis—no phone or online reservations are accepted. More matcha products will be introduced in the future to perfectly bring the authentic Kyoto style to Taiwan.
