The historic residence gets a stylish makeover at Folio Hotel, blending old and new souls

Operated by Fubon Group, Folio Hotel has transformed a former Taiwan Cooperative Bank dormitory into a design hotel. The exterior retains the nostalgic exposed-aggregate concrete look of the original apartment building, while the interior design incorporates retro elements such as mosaic tiles and frosted glass lattice windows. It opened in August in Taipei’s Da’an District.

With art and music as its themes, Folio Hotel creates a design-oriented space with an artistic vibe. Guest rooms feature photography works by celebrities Kevin Tsai and Dee Hsu, and resident artists have set up art workshops here, aiming to offer guests more opportunities to engage with art.

With 57 guest rooms in total, Folio Hotel is located in Taipei’s Da’an District, not far from popular areas like Xinyi District, Eastern District, and Yongkang District. It breathes new life into an old building, bringing guests an innovative style that blends old and new cultures.
