The popular anime-themed restaurant "Chibi Maruko-chan" draws long queues for its must-try food

Following the success of its popcorn specialty store, the beloved Japanese animated series "Chibi Maruko-chan" opened its first officially licensed themed restaurant in Taipei in August. In addition to Taiwan-exclusive special menu items, the restaurant will also serve popular Japanese queue-worthy dishes such as lobster burgers and fried steaks, allowing visitors to enjoy them without flying to Japan.

The themed restaurant is named “Chibi Maruko-chan KITCHEN” and features over 100 seats. Key characters including Maruko, Tama-chan, Wanko, and Miki will appear as waitstaff, moving around the restaurant to keep diners company. There will also be adorable merchandise such as pins and mugs to capture fans’ hearts.
