Typhoon Nida impacts: High temperatures, heavy rain, and some flight cancellations

Typhoon Nida, the fourth typhoon, is currently moving in a northwest-west direction into the Bashi Channel, heading toward Guangdong on the Chinese mainland. It will be closest to Hong Kong tonight through early tomorrow morning. After nightfall, the weather will change rapidly, bringing strong winds, heavy rain, and high waves. Taiwan is also being affected by the outer circulation, with increasing rainfall in the eastern and southern parts. In terms of temperature, due to the warming effect of descending air caused by southeast winds over the mountains, temperatures in the western part remain relatively high.
