The colorful night LED light show makes the Hsinchu Kite Festival vibrant and lively

The “2016 Hsinchu Kite Festival” takes place with great energy on August 27 and 28, bringing together top stunt kite flyers from across the country to compete in the Windy City. A wide range of specially designed kites will soar through the sky. The event also includes DIY kite painting, children’s theater troupes, a “Nighttime LED Kite Show,” and musical performances, promising an exciting experience.

The kite festival takes place from 1 PM to 8 PM on August 27 (Saturday), and from 1 PM to 6 PM on August 28 (Sunday). In addition to performances by stunt kite teams from various counties and cities who capture the essence of the wind in the sky, showcasing skillful techniques with specially shaped kites and a unique nighttime LED kite show, there will also be children’s theater, music performances, international dance shows, lucky draws, DIY kite painting, eco-friendly challenges with prizes, as well as local specialty promotions and food trucks.

Additionally, the kite festival offers a wealth of promotional items and prizes. On the day of the event, visitors can exchange five invoices from July or August 2016 or five used batteries for one lottery ticket and either a shark kite or a DIY painting kite. With five plastic bottles or five used CDs, participants can join a DIY eco-friendly spinning top toy workshop. There’s also an easy-to-understand, educational eco-challenge activity—complete three levels to receive a bar of handmade soap.
