British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant becomes a hit in Taiwan

Jamie's Italian officially opened its first branch in Taiwan in mid-November this year in Taipei’s Xinyi District, which will definitely excite many fans of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. Jamie's Italian was born out of a collaboration between Jamie Oliver and his mentor and friend Gennaro Contaldo, with the goal of sharing the joys of Italian cuisine with more people. The first Jamie's Italian opened in Oxford, UK in 2008. Now, Jamie's Italian has 42 branches across the UK and over 25 locations in cities worldwide.

Jamie's Italian was introduced to Taiwan by Hong Kong’s Big Cat Group and opened its first branch in mid-November 2016, located in Taipei’s Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store A11.
Jamie’s Italian is known for its affordable, authentic, and rustic Italian dishes. The meals are made using the highest quality and most reliable locally-sourced ingredients, including freshly made pasta every day. Following its openings in Hong Kong and Singapore, Taiwan is the next Asian location where locals can enjoy Jamie-style Italian cuisine — a trend that’s sure to take off.
