On the morning of November 22, TransAsia Airways held an interim board meeting. Due to unsustainable losses and the inability to boost passenger load factors — operating at a loss every day — the board resolved to dissolve the company and applied to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for a long-term flight suspension. Regarding airport flight operations, passengers were also informed that all flights on November 22 would be canceled due to flight scheduling. TransAsia Airways held a press conference at 2 PM on November 22 at the Air Force Officers’ and Soldiers’ Activity Center to provide an explanation.

The booking system on TransAsia Airways' official website encountered abnormalities, and Civil Aeronautics Administration Deputy Director Fang Zhiwen subsequently confirmed that TransAsia Airways has applied to suspend all international and domestic flights for one day tomorrow. As for whether flights will return to normal the day after tomorrow (23rd), the Civil Aeronautics Administration stated it will continue to monitor the situation.
